For my collection of Fender bass guitars to be complete I need a P bass. I have the PJ and the Jazz.... I'm talking pickup styles here. Not different body styles like the Lyte,Aerodyne,Stu Hamm...etc.
Someone here on this site owns the MOST gorgeous gold colored Fender I have ever seen (to me anyways)..... It just oozed pure sexiness and sophistication. For the life of me I can't recall the thread it was posted on and I spent 4 hours last night surfing this site to find it.
Once my band starts gigging again I am saving up for a P bass in natural ash or alder so I can buy it then refinish it.
Can you Fellas help a brutha out and post some pics of Gold P basses? I'm almost sure the one I saw had a matching headstock as well..........Thanks mucho!

It only costs $5200.00!?

I am not a fan of metal flake like that bass has at all! I am a fan of Adam tho. Of course I grew up in the early to late 80's and would listen to U2 all the time.

G&L will do Shoreline Gold even though it isn't in their color list.

Seems very knowledgeable and is a Fender expert, has many happy clients.
Looks like a shoreline gold P with matching head stock would come in around $3000.00

It's getting a maple neck, going to build it out as a seventies Precision.

Yes, it's my Adam Clayton custom shop. It has a matching headstock. I'm not THAT fond of the color but the sound is amazing partly due to the Abby's pick-ups. BTW, I paid 4200$ canadian dollars for it from Lauzon Music in Ottawa, not 5200$.

They're not matching headstock, but do have factory gold hardware on a great gold body finish (that is not a heavy metallic flake). |

This?
But thinking of your description, I guess it's this one:
If I recall correctly it's a '63 with a replaced neck somewhere in the seventies.
