great deal on ebay (sarcasm) |
I don't know, a USA Tobias with a NAMM show custom finish (if that is indeed what he has) plus a decent amp and cab included in the price... Could indeed be a decent buy for the right buyer. Certainly not funny or wrong enough to merit a sarcasm post. |

problem #1 his serial number is 9216, mike stop building at #2044 Problem #2 its not a custom color problem #3 its a killer B model from gibson designed by mike but as far as i know never built one unless a prototype one which this is not problem #4 mike left gibson in 91-92 so a 1999 namm custom, math doesn't add up |
Did you notice the button that says "make an offer"? He might let it go for $1500 |

He doesn't advertise it as "pre-Gibson", he clearly shows the serial number, and he provides many photos. Anyone in the market for a pre-Gibson Tobias would be able to see what this is. I think you're making a too big a deal out of this. |
ad says 92 namm |

Isn't the Killer B a Gibson-era-only model? |
He had pregib previously in the the title I'm not making a big deal of it, of he put it on this forum would anyone not say anything or we just let some unsuspecting member just buy a bass being sold under false pretenses He said he was given the info by mike tobias himself so thus make a another false statement to increase the value of his item = fraud |
even used, a goliath iii is running somewhere in the range of $500 (in my neck of the woods anyway) and figure another $500 for the SM500, it seems like a good deal overall. and he does caveat a "best offer". |
Infact as somebody already said, other than $. 2,500.00 as asked, $. 1,500.00 is fair Quote:
can easily go for nearly $. 1,000.00 then you sum $. 500.00 more for bass (whatever Tobias it is) and there you're at:smug: Cheers, Wallace |
$1500 is fair |
I think that price is reasonable. The Goliath and SM-500 would be close to a grand by themselves. I had that combo & they were killer. I was stupid to trade mine. :( |
its a better deal than the $8,000 for a 1959 Les Paul hardshell case... yes, just the case. |
