Looking at the top edge it appears to have started life as a Hamer "Blitz bass" (an explorer shape).
Is that a thumb rest/pull bar mounted north of the bridge?
Not very "cool" looking imo. for $200 I guess you can't complain...but i'd wait & offer $100. That ain't gonna move too quick.

I am not a Hamer expert but I wouldn't expect Joel Danzig would have made such a rough looking bass.

Or if you get one for free, sell it and buy a bass that isn't pointy. But vandalizing an instrument with a hacksaw is the mark of a dope. |
