Has anyone ever ordered from...

guitarpartssite.com?

If so just wondering what kind of experience you've had.

I just ordered a part from them.

Makes just about as much sense as before ordering. Doesn't change the question.

No, it doesnt make as much sense. Youre right though, that doesnt change the question, just the reason its being asked.

Nope, same reason. I'd be looking for feedback either way.

However I'd be lying if I said I didn't see the outcome manifest in the way it did. lol

Seems to me it would make more sense to ask BEFORE ordering, then if you don't hear good feedback, order elsewhere. Once you've already ordered, the point is moot.

I don't think the original question or Bass-Adrenaline's response was out of line.

I use two basic sources, StewMac and guitarfetish.com

I got a decent set of replacement tuners with bushings fro guitar fetish for my Dan Armstrong modified Dano and am very happy, considering that these were quite inexpensive.

Otherwise, StewMac is the standard.

I placed an order for a replacement Fender PRO 10" speaker. I understood it had to be special ordered from the manufacturer, I ordered and paid for it on Oct 15th, the money was taken from my account. Here it is now the 30th and I'm still waiting for it, I have called three times since placing the order to see if there were any updates with a "sorry, no updates we're still waiting for it". This morning I called and asked if it was placed on special order or on stock order and was told it was on special. I requested that customer service please look into it with the manufacturer and call me back, he didn't call back. I called just now and he had updated information that he should have my speaker at his location on Friday (Nov 2nd) and it will get shipped out to me from there, there was no drop ship option.

Sounds to me like my order was never placed and customer service wasn't willing to look any deeper than "order pending" on their system until I specifically asked for them to contact the manufacturer. Unless it really does take 3 weeks to get something from Fender, or this supplier put it on a stock order to save freight and lied to me about it being special ordered.

Either way, I'm not pleased with their lack of communication. I could have lived with the order time if I only knew about it and could have made other arrangements. But the lack of investigative interest on their part has me scrambling for a show.

Speaker just arrived, 11/9. Ordered on Oct 15th, say it was processed on the 16th. It took 24 days to arrive. They did send an email notification when it did ship, but they never updated the tracking number until I called them looking for it.

I know it, but if the thread already exists there's no reason to make another.
