A sudden spate of headless threads...

I ordered my Zon Vinny 6 a week ago. Will be done in May 2010 or something. I'll join then.

Nice refinish!

Here's mine, the same model, with the original finish (or most of it, anyway):

A classic, my main bass for 15 years until a few years ago, and perhaps the last bass I'd ever sell:

'88 Steinberger XL-2. Stock and in fantastic shape. But the best part is the tone -- cuts like a laser.

That RCG is hawt.

My Steinberger L2, used to belong to the late great Dee Murray, heard on the Elton John song "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues".

These are my past Steinbergers:

I can't believe I sold every single one of those. Looks like I could have kept JUST ONE. Dummy.

thank you, thats the one! mine was also my first-ever refinish, back in 1993-94 or so...it's more half-assed than it looks and needs a refresh...the happy surprise was that it appears to be all mahogany (which i didn't even realize until a year or two ago)

Thanks. Yes, I finished it last year and have been playing it off and on to decide if it needed any changes. Neck came out a little thick, so over labor day weekend, I took it off and thinned it down some. Feels better now. Just played it this weekend. It always gets lots of comments.

Yours turned out great too. Love that finish. I watched your whole build.

Here's my Steinberger, having just been signed by Ned a few years back.

I want in! Not enough headless love on TB.

Yeah I did everything but the clear (Don't want nothing to do with spraying clear coats), but in the near future, I'll do a non-sprayed polyurethane finish.
