All I can say is if you haven't played one yet and you bought this as a leap of faith, you are about to be rewarded with what I believe to be one of the very best basses built by a master luthier as talented as anyone in the business.
Let me know when you get it and we can compare notes as I have a 6 string fretted as well as the fretless. You won't believe it when you see it. Peace. | I will keep you posted for sure... My is Fretless as well... Brian and Daniel have been great in Fact Brian handpicked some quilted maple for the top and back and sent it to Daniel now I'm deciding fingerboard/accents woods etc...
I have not played one of his fretless basses ...I'm looking for a lot of growl so I'm hopeful after our conversations...
very exciting!
cheers
Scott

One thing I can tell you but you probably already know by now, any questions or input, just talk with Brian before making a decision as he knows these basses better then anyone except for Daniel himself. Plus as you say, he is an awesome guy to deal with.
Let me know when it happens for you. Good luck. Peace.

I will take the time to issue numbers, resuming with number 19 to everyone that has not received a number. If I happen to miss someone, then I will be sure to issue numbers as it is brought to my attention. Thanks again.

Not in my hands yet, somewhere ove the Pacific, I can't wait. | I must say, that's a fetching design. Kind of like a micro-Tung...throw in a dash of Kubicki.
Is that your design or Wilkat's? Looked on their site and didn't see anything quite like yours.
The faux thru-neck / bolt-on thingy does my head in!
Any reason for going 32" scale? Just curious.
Well done!

Well done! | The design is mine, based on a few basses I like. I just wanted a longer horn as my Hohner paddle is a pain to balance.
The faux neck through is there, as Bill at Wilkat thinks the butternut wings need a stronger "spine" is it is apparently quite soft. I went for the 32" scale just because I could, and I have never had one before... |

Seems like kind of a steep starting price...but it seems like an odd duck, so perhaps for its rarity.
If I played lefty, I'd at least put it on my Watch List... |
