Help choosing bass

So i have narrowed it down between 2 bass guitars.

Fender American Deluxe V Jazz bass vs Fender Marcus Miller Bass V

Which one is the best?

the best one is the one you like best! if you can play them both compare them & the one that plays,feels & sounds most to your liking get that one.

Thumbs up Marcus Miller V is the closest to a Custom Shop edition you can get

See Reggie Hamilton's CSV Jazz.

Of course it's better than American Deluxe V Jazz (look its price tag) but only if you dig an ultra midscooped kinda sound.

Otherwise an American Deluxe is way more tailorable to your likings and more neutral, still stayin' a high quality instrument, down a resale point of view.

You can't really go wrong with both (I sincerely feel envy for whichever you're gonna buy) but Marcus Miller V is pricier and
"specialized", American Deluxe Jazz V is good for everything.

I have a deluxe V. Best tone of my 4 basses which include 2 more expensive models. In my view the Rosewood fingerboard is a must, aethstetically and tonally.
