| | | | I was taken out of the HB bass club last month when someone kicked in my door and stole my '66 Starfire (BA516) along with a USACG J with Sadowsky electronics, a 66 Jazz neck on a USACG body, and a bastardized USACG T bass that I recut into something like a mini J. I would happily sacrifice one of the USACG basses if I could beat the person who ripped me off into a wheelchair with it. |

Hopefully they'll come back to you soon.

| | | | Hey all, I'm new to hollowbodies, any opinions on the tone difference between a short scale and a long scale? Why you'd go with one over another?
Also any thoughts on the new Gretsch Electromatics? TV Jones pickups, good/bad/indifferent?
Thanks in advance! |

Cheers! | Sorry to intrude. The Gretsch is an excellent bass that falls more on the classic side (vs modern). I know that Chef sold his but it's a great ebg--very acoustic in nature.
I also recommend the Reverend Dub King for a classic/modern short scale hybrid. It does both well. |

Not the only one to lead me towards hollowbodies, but one of a few.
