Ooh, good one! Robert Been's a great player, and his dad was no slouch either!

Robert is my idol! BRMC is my favorite band and I definitely can't wait for their new album. I've never listened to The Call before, but the upcoming BRMC album is based around Michael's untimely passing. The single that was released was awesome too!

I heard there was only somewhere in the vicinity of 40 made. Paul has 3 himself.

Are there any other Ibanez ASB140 owners here in this awesome club? If so, I'm trying to find a hardshell case for mine and I'm not sure what to look for because the model is discontinued and not sure if there are any other brand of cases that would fit.

Not very common, but I filter for only fretless basses, so I have a skewed perspective. One came up on eBay this past year in pretty good shape. I would have grabbed it if I didn't already have one.

I got my Ovation from another TBer. He contacted me a while later and asked to buy it back because he misses it. I felt bad, but I kept it.

Funny thing is that the bass in this photo isn't hollow. ;-)

I do seem to remember him playing a cherry red EB-2 or EB2D in one of their music videos back during their heyday.

I've owned several of that particular bass, I guess semi hollow is more accurate. It is definitely not a solid body. Oh yeah in the Plush video. I'm pretty sure that was a 60's MIJ copy.

Interesting. Everything I'd ever read about those said they were solid like the original Gibson EB1, but I've never owned one. Learn something new every day!
