I've been playing my p bass for a while and love the sound but recently I've come to discover how much I love the hollowbody sound. I'm looking into a handful of basses but before I get my mind set on a hollowbody bass, I need to know, is it worth it? Playing live, my amp is usually cranked to about 3 o clock and I've heard stories of major feedback issues with hollowbody basses. Now regardless of the fact that I figured it would start screaming quicker than a solid body, I still planned on using a fuzz pedal. But is it too much to handle to begin with?

Lakland hollowbodies are thunderous and articulate with no feedback.

Check on the Gretsch topic. A lot of Gretsches are hollowbody, and the folks over there have a lot of experience with 'em.
