Never had one, I have a Squier, though, but I don't think that counts.

Cool poll. It'll be interesting to see who has/does own a Fender. I do, several of them actually.

I have a sweet fender, the deluxe jazz 24, very sweet bass, excellent finnish, great feel, nice setup stock, 24 frets, avtive eq (mid, bass, treb) along with volume, and pickup knob, and a mid scoop/slap switch, which is great for on the go!

o, and it costs less than a grand canadian. how? it beats all the MIA basses that I have tried out. (mines made in Korea, if location really matters...)

Technically, a Squier isn't a Fender, just like an Epiphone bass/guitar isn't a Gibson bass/guitar.

Do basses that look like Fender's count? I have a P bass and the only thing that makes it a "Fender" are the Decals on the headstock...

I have a MIJ fretless Jazz, a Classic Series (MIM) 50's P-Bass and a parts P-Bass clone. I don't remember how many Fender basses and guitars I've had over the years but it's been quite a few.

1976 Jazz. Have owned it since new. Love, Luv, Amore' that bass. Even moreso than my boutique instruments. My Fender would be the last bass I sold if I had to liquidate my instruments.

My first was 1965 PBass I bought used in 1968 for $125. Since then I have had many Fender PBass and lately JBasses. I had/have other companies basses, but I keep coming back to my Fenders, they just feel and sound good.

I just recently bought my first Fender after 20+ years of playing bass. I got a 4 string Victor Bailey jazz Bass. It is absolutely awesome. I like it as much as my 2 Roscoe 5 strings (LG and Century) and it cost a lot less.

2005 MIA Standard P Bass
2004 MIM Standard Jazz Bass

I love them both for different reasons.
The Jazz however sounds amazing during practice and not as good when I play live, It may be possessed.
