Cool thread ! I'm thinking of putting a Jazz neck ( Fender ) on my Highway 1 p bass. I'm trying to decide about the radius, 7.5 or 9.5 ? I have always played American Jazzes, so, I'm assuming that the radius on my '95 and '98 is 9.5. I'm tempted to get one of the '62 reissue Jazz necks, which seem to be more readily available on Ebay. Never played a '62 before. Is there that much difference ?

I would love to have a Fender P bass body with a Fender Jazz bass neck........

But not one of those 2 p/u models made by Fender. Simply a regular P bass body and split coil p/u with a Jazz neck.......

Maybe one of these days I'll own one. For now, I play my Fender Jazz almost 100% of the time.

Here is one I am building as a commemorative bass in honor of his passing.

This bass will be sold and the profits will be given to the Make A Wish foundation.
That is good of you! Nice bass, good dude.

My favorite P bass with a slim, narrow neck
is the Peavey Fury with Fender P bass pup
installed.

'87 Peavey Patriot Custom. Patriots usually have a P-bass style neck, with a single-coil pickup at the P-bass position. This one has a jazz-style neck. It's my favorite one now.

I went the opposite way. I put a Warmoth P bass neck on my J bass. My P has a P neck.
