Is This a Hwy 1 or MIA Standard??

Forgive my ignorance here, I'm less than knowledgeable on later model Fenders. The serial number Z4xxxxxx came up simply as an '04 MIA, I don't have a pic of the back of the headstock. I noticed it has threaded saddles and doesn't string through the body which I thought was pretty standard for MIA's made around that time.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Just my opinion, but these are some of Fender's best P basses, crappy finish aside.

Neck and body finishings and the shape of both bridges and pots suggest American Series in my humble opinion

naw .. threaded saddles, top load only is all anyone needs to identify as an early edition Hwy 1 (number) with just a body pic ... OP is more informed than he thought, calling it correctly as a 1, and not a ONE ...

Edit to add: early AmStands from 95-99, and AmSeries 2000-2007 were all STB with 3 hole mount bridges, with the coarser spiral saddles ... all Hwy 1's used the finer threaded saddle bridge with a 5 hole mount pattern ...

... also, if this was an '04 AmSeries, it would have the S-1 switch on the volume knob, unless of course it was removed ...
