I did some Fender (esqe) neck swapping.

On the left is a 2002 passive P MIM Deluxe that I got this week in a trade. Thanks pudge!
On the right is a Warmoth unlined maple fretless neck on a Squier body that I got from a TB'er with the Fender RI pickup. I put in a series/parallel switch.



I really like the Deluxe but I'm not a fan of red, even though this is my second red bass, and the J hums. Fretless isn't something that I'm good enough to play in public so it almost never leaves the house.
I was really curious about that RI pickup with S/P switch and some flats so I swapped the necks.



I'm very happy now! The black bass is sounding really cool with Chromes.

I was planning for a warmouth neck on a project P bass. I have a warmouth neck on an old guitar of mine that I like a lot.

First fretless with a maple fretboard that I've seem . . . I like both swaps either way!

I like the Warmoth a lot. I got the P size and its pretty chunky. They made me a great neck!
