Nice score! Hopefully Stone Soup hasn't caught wind of this, or he will most likely start giving you a lesson about ethics and how much better he is than you!

Dave Pegg's had a great life. It's my understanding that he was one of the arrangers behind the fund raiser that provided help for Dave Swarbrick when he needed a massive transplant of internals.

Very kind of Dave Pegg to do that for the man.

Dang great score even better than my $140.00 83' MIJ SQ Squier I scored on CL this summer. I was the first call on it and the guy honored the price even thou others called and offered more for it after me. Nice bass!

godbless the misinformed masses who mistake this for another low end fender knock-off. In my view these "fenders" are just as genuine as pre-cbs fenders. Leo was still calling the shots when these basses were made under his supervision. Amazing deal. Congrats!

Be prissy about the signatures they add value especially if it contains every band members signature get it appraised and insured you may not be a Tull fan but there are some pretty ravenous ones out there who would drool over that bass and to goo gone the signatures or try to remove them in any way wouldn't be smart in my opinion because we always say we are never going to sell something and then situations arrive that force us to? just food for thought enjoy your great bass .

Did the '85 SB1's have the MFD and crinkle guard (maybe yours is not crinkle)?..... I thought that was in '86. Anyway, I have a '87 that I bought brand new when I was stationed in Oklahoma. Definitely a P sounding bass.... but make sure you keep the vol and tone rolled off a bit if you're looking for vintage tones. The 1 11/16" maple necks are KILLER. The Leo sig is on all of the headstocks from that era.

Dude, I'm not sure how to tell you this... but that bass was stolen from me, in Chicago, about 8 years ago. I'm positive it's the same bass because of the autographs, but I also have the serial number which I'll happily provide in a PM. I have very mixed feelings about this, as I'm glad my bass has been found...

I guess I'm willing to give you the $200 for it, but we need to talk.
