Deviser Japan, makers of Bacchus, recently held a contest for the Best Aged Oil Finished bass and guitar. The contest was held from April to October last year. The contestants had to send photos of their naturally aged and oil faded bass or guitar for preliminary judging. Those instruments that were selected for the finals were sent to the factory for closer look and for the selection of winners. The judges were all employees of Deviser from management, production down to sales. They all gave their votes by ballot. The prize for the grand winner is a brand new Bacchus guitar or bass in oil finish and any color. The prize for the runner up is a brand new Bacchus guitar or bass in oil finish in black, brown or natural color. Pictures of the winning bass and guitar were already featured in local music magazine and will also be featured in the 2013 Bacchus Guitar Catalog.
