Sure, the string spacing looks pretty narrow (I'd guess 16mm or 15mm), but the idea of this bass is very cool to me. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/bass/...-electric-bass
Not sure why it's called the AFB205 when it looks more like the AGB200; AGB205 might make more sense. Nothing about it on Ibanez website yet, which I find odd. must be a NAMM thing.
Would you rock one??

(But the neck dive factor scares me)

Ibanez has the Mikro 28" 5er, so I might guess that this would be 32", if not 34". If it were 30", I think I might stay away. But, I really like the idea of having hollowbody sound with 5-string practicality.

| | | | It looks like a short scale to me, and considering that Ibanez moved from long to short on the artcore basses a few years ago, I would be surprised if they only made this new fiver into a long scale bass. Unless either the AFB or AGB models are getting lengthened again as well. |

I have the solid body artcore short scale bass and it's really sweet. The hollowbodies are really nice and I've just never gotten around to picking one up. The 5er makes it almost a NEED to buy.

The knobs felt cheap too, the whole bass feels cheap, that's the thing |
