| | | | Hey guys!!!
I have an option to change the electronics, maybe both pickups and preamp, but i'll probably just change preamp.
But one question: Are they any pickups like MKII in dimesions? I can't seem to find any. I dont wanna mess with the wood like i did once on my 555 model with EMG pickups. |

| | | | This BTB has seen and done it all regretfully selling my baby that has been by my side for years I got this btb from ibanez through an endorsement in around 05 or 06. They custom painted it satin black with a red ibanez logo on the headstock for me to go with my band i was in at the time called Deadsy. She has seen it all with me , 2 different Family Values tours, seperate tours with korn and taproot, mindless self indulgence and who knows what else. Im playing guitar and synth in Orgy now and need to shift some gear around to get ready for a lot of touring to support a new record next year. Anyway didnt write all this to talk about myself just wanted to tell about the bass and why it hurts to lose it, but its the best thing for me to do right now. I figured id come here before i went to ebay. Only WE know how special these basses are. To be honest i dont even remember the model number i think its 1105. its a bolt on neck. its got nics and what not because i played it and loved it. feels and sounds amazing. |

Pickups though, my only option was to go through Nordstrand and order a custom pickup. They just send a raw pickup, with minimal gaps on the sides.

Thinking of changing the jack. Original ibanez model is a Neutrik 3JK1NEU1. They're really over priced at $30US sort of mark (discontinued?) so I'm looking at the Neutrik NJ3FP6C. Anyone replaced the jack before and got some suggestions? I'm sure its an easy sway but the NJ3FP6C is stereo apparently. Just don't want to leave a grotty mess where the old jack was so looking for the same shape & size. |

Hi all, been a long time lurker who finally decided to register and post. Hoping to get a spot of help on a bass I recently bought second-hand, as I'm having trouble finding consistent info on it.
The bass an Ibanez BTB200 in flat black (currently @ Mike Lull's shop getting some TLC ) and I've seen different info around it being made in Indonesia or Japan. I was surprised to find on mine that it has a made in China sticker with no model info, very different from this example that I've seen in several places:
Before my paranoia gets the better of me, I wanted to see if anyone here had concrete info about flat black BTB200's being made in China with no model info and a serial number sticker on the headstock? Very weird!
| After some more research I noticed that Ibanez has 2 different series of BTB200mkf's the 2701 made from 11/2007 - 04/2008 and the 2702 made from 05/2008-10-2010. Maybe this accounts for the difference? |

doubtful the 200 series was made in Japan. the example serial number doesn't work in the online serial number decoder sites.
was there anything with markings in the neck pocket or PUP cavities or control cavity?

Nothing else is different from the examples I've compared to online. This is pretty much exactly how it looks: http://s3.amazonaws.com/usedimg/gear...2201182035.JPG
Comes from this ad which mine looks exactly like my bass: http://used.samashmusic.com/item.php?id=1201
though Sam Ash incorrectly labeled it as a BTB300 (I believe, as the 300's have 3 controls straight across rather than off-set). Also interesting, as with mine, it says "made in China" but the serial checks out as Indonesian. |

Edit. Tais mennä basso edelliselle kirjoittajalle | Joo tännehän se lähti .
Well I´ve had this BTB676 for like a month now, and I´ve been happy with it. The edges of the frets needed some luthiers touch but other than that, it´s been nice. The action can be set to fairly low in Bb standard tuning, and even with drop-G# I didn´t notice too much buzzing, nor too loose B-string. It´s pretty damn loud bass I gotta say, I have amplifier at home but I´ve mainly been playing it unplugged because even the lowest notes can be heard really well.
The neck felt really thin for the first days(I was used to Yamaha´s TRB&BB and Schecter´s Hellraisers necks) but I got used to that quite fast.
The sound generally is kinda darker than at my other basses, but some use of eq of my amp, pedals and the bass itself I can get pretty much everything I want out of it. And well, of course I guess I don´t even need to mention the susssstainnnnnnnnnnnnn........nnnn....nn.....nnnnn nn...

I'm not complaining too hard though, the finish on the 775 is sweet

It is a QM model with EMG Pickups, not the Usual Ibanez or Barts. I've seen the occasional Ibanez Bass come from the factory with EMG's I've not been able to match this one up at least not with anything from the 2004 catalogs. I'm thinking it's a 400 series either a 406 or a 456.
Any Ideas?

I'd hazard a guess that someone dropped the EMGs in on their own. you could always try emailing Ibanez support with your serial number and see if they could shed some light on it. maybe it is EMG equipped from the factory.
