Thats a DT600, an awesome explorer style bass. They sound good, and with the hop ups that the owner has done it should sound even better.

I say go for it!

I got one just like this in 83.The pickups roar! I believe they were Dimarzio made for Ibanez.Play it hung low or it feels really weird.Medium scale as I recall. Heart shaped tuners ooze cool.Go for it!

Nice win dude! I got an 81' Destroyer 2 that I've been in love with since I got it 4 years ago, though mine isn't nearly in as good as shape as your new one! I really like the medium scale alot, not like a full scale was uncomfortable or any thing but the destroyers super slim neck and medium scale just make it quick as lightning ime! I was thinking about possibly replacing the pups in mine too (mines actually a p/j setup, but the poles are all corroded) but I love the look of the white covers on them! Again like I said, nice win, hopefully you love it as much as I love mine!

P.s. If its good enough for this guy, its good enough for me!

(mines the same model as this btw)

So are you just scooping up a bunch of cheap basses with BA bridges to part out? Just a question and observation. No negative vibes implied.

Ibanez should start making these again. A nice high quality version in a few different colours (not just black)

Agreed, theres alot of different explorer type clones out there but the destroyer 2's have their own edge that I really like, everything about them oozes 80's metal awesomeness.

And IMO the coolest name ever
