Ibanez Roadgear basses

Thoughts? I played an RD500 at a local store yesterday that was very nice and super cheap. Seemed like it should cost a lot more than they were asking. I hadn't heard of this series so I thought I'd ask you fellas.

Thanks!

Bueller? Bueller?

Anybody got an opinion on these basses?

Nothing wrong with Ibenez at all, they make some great products. If it plays great and the price point is right; go for it!!!

I'm a fan of Ibanez. I've had and an ATK, an Artcore, an RD500, and 3 SRXs. The RD was my least favorite. There was nothing wrong with it, it just didn't seem to have any character tone wise(IMHO). The construction was great, I loved the looks, the feel was alright, it just didn't "speak" to me. If you like the tone and feel I say go for it, they are quality basses.

Ah, yes! :p The Roadgear. Very popular basses. Never played one, but they seem to be a good choice if your in for slapping and the heavier music genres, due to the MM/S pickup configuration. And it has 24 frets, so you have a lot of possibilities tonewise!

If you like the sound and the feel of the neck, go for it! :)

Not a bad bass for the money, The necks were always right.

I can get this one for 135 out the door so I've got it on hold and will most likely go back and pick it up on Friday. We'll see how I like it.
