Man, I sure can tell that I've mellowed with my choice of playing/listening music over the past few years, or so. The band that I've been gigging with (on a steady basis for (almost!) 20 years) have been on a big Fleetwood Mac kick for a pretty good spell. Man, they're so, so good. What a great, basic rock & roll band, especially live. I really appreciate every member's contribution to that band. They fill their roles perfectly, which is a really rare quality. Kinda like KISS, but in a more laid-back way, IMO.
While you're at it, as you check the following clip out, check out the bass John McVie is playing on the first tune. Is that an acoustic/electric Alembic he's playing? I've never seen, much less heard of any of those made by Alembic. But, that basic, brass logo, and that Spoiler-shaped headstock bears a real strong resemblance to their design.
As for the second song in the clip, check out what McVie is playing. Huh, not many players playing a pre-Gib Tobias these days, especially on tour. Nice taste, for sure. I've always wanted either a maple, or lacewood-topped 5'er to go with my Cocobolo-topped 5'er. On to the video.....
