identify an early 1968 fender neck
 

Hello

how to identify an early 1968 fender neck ?
The stamp on the neck is 7 MAR 68 A
The plate is 248XXX
The pots numbers are 03/27/67
Tuning machines are ovale

Help me to find more details on the neck to be sure please.

So post them, I'd guess that would be your best bet if you want anyone to give an accurate assessment.

Looks legit to me from the outside. Tuners are correct- they used ovals between 66-67, but I've seen a few 68's with them too.

Legit. Especially if you claim it has a neck stamp.

How i can be sure if the stamp is correct or false ?

i can post a pic ..

The early 68 headstock logo will have the "script" style, meaning it will have the metallic flake font with black border.
In mid 68 they switched to the "TV" logo which a heavy black font with a faint gold border.

Your pics look fine, nothing bogus I see. That neck stamp is the correct font.

The pictures made me feel funny. You know.
