I've played that one, Victor Wooten owns it now. It's a nice Alembic-it was a trip to play School Days on the bass he recorded it on! So much of that comes from Stanley's hands. He's a wizard!

One of John Myung's six-string Tungs. I don't even play six-string. But I want to.

Actually, come to think of it... other than the joy of owning the bass of a bass player you admire, why would you want to own Jamerson's bass? Wasn't the truss rod so loose and the action so high that the neck warped from the strain of the strings, which were heavy gauge? Most who had a chance to try it found it unplayable.

I would say the same about Jaco's fretless, but that got a complete restoration job by Trujillo (with flamed maple top) - which I also don't like, but that's another issue altogether.

Duck's old Pbass. The one he supposedly got rid of when one of the original strings broke.

I have reconsidered my choice due to some interesting history surrounding that bass.

Almost anyone elses would be preferable, really.

Let's start with Jack Casady's Alembic modified Guild Starfire.

I'd feel too guilty about taking Geddy's black jazz bass so Ill take the red cs Jazz bass or maybe the sunburst one.
