Well since I've long given up any hope that my own would ever be famous I'll take one each of James Jamerson's and Duck Dunn's PBass. Given the great soul and r&b music that was recorded with them I think there must be a little magic in them somewhere that might rub off.

I dunno, I'm not into "famous basses" per se, but I guess I'd go with John Paul Jones' triple-omega Becvar/Alembic 8-string.

...or whatever Fodera Presentation Contrabass Anthony Jackson is currently using as his main instrument.
