| | Fan of the New Orleans Saints | | | | | I'm pretty excited about this... I've never really been a P bass guy and no, this is not a convert thread. I've had several good ones they just never have worked in every situation that I've been in and I like the way a Jazz looks and sounds better. Within the past couple of years I've only been able to afford one solid bass because grad school/internship was important and I haven't been able to just have a P bass for when I want or need it. I'm a productive member of society now so I have a bit more play money and I've always been told that every bassist should have a P bass. I haven't ever subscribed to this belief but I am using it to justify adding one to my growing arsenal. I've wanted one of these ever since I saw one for sale here on TB that I missed out on.
Not a Fender, but it's a P. A really cool looking P.

That a Dimarzio pickup? | From what I've read, no. It's designed like a Dimarzio. Several of the MIJ basses came with pickups like these. I think I'm gonna throw some GHS Pressure wounds on it when I get it!
Thanks for the kind comments, mate!

| | | | If the pups have a capital M stamped on the back they were made by Maxon. They supplied pups for fujigen and matsumoku ( the force 8 is a matsumoku) |

My first bass was a Washburn and I didn't like it at all. To each is own. I have always believed that people should play whatever they like and makes them happy regardless of what anyone else thinks.
