Inexpensive and Good?

Is there such a thing as a good inexpensive bass..or good for the money? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

New or used? Either way, there are countless good, inexpensive basses out there. Especially on the used market.

A Talkbass search on this topic will reveal a few billion suggestions. Roughly 25 million of those are my recommendation for a Peavey Foundation.

Inexpensive is nothing but a function of how hard you shop.

There is no real need for cheap basses, except to outfit the lazy.

Well put. My Foundation S was very inexpensive, but it's anything but cheap.

Ibanez and Spector make some nice basses for reasonable prices.

+1 for Ibanez.

I picked up an ATK-400 for ~ £100 a good number of years back. Still play the heck out of it, even with real deal Stingrays in the stable these days.

Aria are another under appreciated brand IMO!

Very nice. I have been looking at inexpensive jazz style basses. The Milleniums are sexy.

I bought a used 5 string here and it's pretty cool. Cool enough to make me buy a matching 4 string (for 147.00 shipped.) Fairly light, good hardware, sting through body, decent pickups.

I got a Laguna bass with active pick ups for 200 new. I personally love it. It sounds good and plays nice. Just my opinion.

Oh cool. I didnt know they were string through. I was eyeing them because of the finishes and because of all the love Peavey gets around here. They offer really nice trans finishes for such a decently priced axe.
