Input wanted for Jazz build
Looking for opinions on pick guard color. I really love them both and can't decide between the two.

I vote white

The gold goes really well with that nice maple neck.

White looks a little cleaner, but it doesn't have the attitude and funk of the GOLD!! You see the white combo all the time, the gold has some character! Gold baby, gold!

I like the regular pearl due to how well it goes with the body color. The gold pearl seems to go a little too far with the gold color. I like the gold hardware, though!

Solid Black or Burgundy tortois shell would be my choice those white pick ups will make it tough .Is that an 83/84 ish Fullerton Jazz?

The Gold Pearl gets my vote.
Goes better with the PU covers and hardware

Im not sure on the body. I snagged it off of ebay, it's a Fender jazz body that's all I really know. The neck is off of a Squier II from Korea.

I would go with black pickup covers as well! Too many competing colours for my taste.

Pearl with white (not creme) pickup covers.

If it were my bass (which it isn't) and subject to my personal esthetics (which are incredibly subjective), I'd go for black pickup covers and a black pearl pickguard.
Since your pics don't smell of fresh photo-shoppery, I'm guessing you've already bought both and are trying to figure out which to stick with, yes?

It's almost like voting for president, which one sucks less.
The gold one does actually match up with the control plate, the white doesn't.
Although I'm a fan of white pearl on white, I have one.
Yeah I know, I'm not much help.....

My vote would be for an AGED White Pearl. It would match the pickups, and be JUST enough different from the body color to make it shine!
gold pearl, cuz it'll hide scratches better.

carrots and black pu covers. do it!
|mrb327 ||01-03-2014 06:31 PM |
