Question Irish Bassists: Am I alone?

It really seems like I'm the only Irish person on this site.
Anyway, post your basses if you're here

Warwick thumb BO 4, picked up for 800 quid last week

Mark Hoppus bass, with Ampeg 410HE and GK Backline 210

Epiphone EB-0 SG Pelham Blue

I'll be going on a horseback-riding tour in Cork this summer! *But besides playing now in a Celtic-punk band now and having a grandfather immigrate from Sligo I reside in NW Corner of the US.

I am part Irish. My grandmother came to the US from Cork. I am also English, Canadian and Portuguese.

My Grandfather(from Leitrim) and Grandmother(from Portumna) came from Ireland. I still have cousins and have visited the old family farm/now golf course. We stayed in Cork as well and really liked it. We ate at Greens restaurant at the end of that ally with the waterfall. The wife, parents and I are all planning a trip next year for the holidays.

I suppose i'm 1/4 Irish, if that counts. My late grandfather was Irish, before coming to Canada. My remaining 3/4 is Acadian French.

hey Mossiebass, I was just over in Ireland in October - my father's father's side is from Waterford and Cork. I got to Dublin and Waterford, not Cork (a short trip). I plan to get to Cork in April or so - or at least that's my hope.

oh, and my basses:

well, I'd always heard about the "black Irish"

my band includes a Murphy and a Cavanagh, so we're majority Irish background at least:

LOL!!! Yeah I'm legitimate. Not a gov't name as they say here. I like to drink, party and tell tall tales as well as play a mean and funky bass.

What's the best bass for Celtic-punk?

Yeah really. Asking an American message board for Irish people is like asking for tacos in Mexico.

hey jlepre - I use that little amp all the time. I've been playing with/thru the PA a lot and the Genz has a great DI out, meanwhile it's the monitor as well. I use "big" amps too some of the time, but I'd guess that 3.0 has gotten more work than any other single amp since I got it.

you still rockin' that Bongo?

What gives you that impression?

I was born, bred and buttered here and, apart from a stint living in England, have lived in either Sligo or Dublin
