Issue: Wobbly Notes

I've been playing Bass less than a year. I'm wondering what would be causing the notes I play on my D and G strings from the 12th fret and lower to wobble when I play hammer-ons or a sustained note. I've tryed adjusting the bridge hight, tried to adjust the intonation, and a little while ago had my Bass teacher adjust the truss rod to try and fix a fret buzzing problem I had earlier (which isn't fixed either). Btw sry if this is the wrong forum, new here.

What kind of bass? I'd maybe check the pickup height. If it's too close to the strings, weird things can happen sometimes. Other than that, I'd change strings and see if that helps.

It sounds like your bass could use a real set-up, especially if your adjusting it and your teacher is adjusting it and it's not gotten better. Strings could always come into play as well, but part of a proper set-up making sure the strings are all good.

It's an Ibanez SR300 with Elixir Med gauge coated strings
