| | | | Love fine basses, but i couldnt resist ordering the JS3 right away. It is a Really cool bass for the price. Think i got it for 319 at gearhounds including a discount..
It does Not compare to a higher-end production bass. I love Gibsons-Been LOVING the new 2012 V-Bass, Moonstone and such and usually prefer neck-thru but i picked up a USA custom shop Jackson King V and Love it. (Still doesnt compare to a Moonstone, but GREAT bass!). If you're looking for an inexpensive awesome bass-the JS3 blows away any epiphone nonsense in every way. It does have bigtime neckdive, but i suspect moving the strap would take care of that. The fretboard is awesome, though the frets are kinda big and certainly not as nicely done as the USA model. But again-for the price it cant be beat. |

| | | | I owned a custom shop T-bird in the 90s, best bass I ever owned. What I wish Jackson would do is re-release the Concert XL basses with the P/J pups instead of the soapbars. I think I am going to wait until my local shop has one of these in stock to see if I like it or not (I screwed up and bought both a JS2 and JS3 on whim...had a hard time sending them back as I hated them BOTH!) |

Ya they made a bunch of them and never do I see one on ebay go for less than a grand unless beat to hell, so I keep my TBX around longer as it is not worth selling it just yet.
find an XL out there? - good luck. Ask Fender/Jackson to reissue it?...also good luck. |

I would love to find my old 1985ish custom concert, gun metal gray, p/j, probably the sweetest neck I have ever owned. Man I regret selling that bass.

And ya the NT Kelly would be a USA only and probably close to a 1000 if you could find one.
when the kellybird is used enough and people are starting to dump them, I'll buy one for 150 and see if my CMG neck will bolt up.
I'd rather not start taking the neck off on a new purchase, then trying to fool them in a return after I already removed the neck since the TR is st the top and would never need to be removed for setups. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
