Jazz bass with pickguard but NO control plate

Let's see 'em! I'm trying to visualize how this will look and having a hard time. Is anybody a fan of this combo?

I've always liked this look, but nobody does it that I can find around here!

The closest thing is a Dingwall Combustion!

I made this pearl pickguard to replace the plain white pickguard that was the original equipment on this late eighties MIM Fender.

Nice! I'm not familiar with this company but have seen the name quite a bit around here and this is exactly what I was thinking of. I like the look!

This is pretty cool too but not quite what I had in mind.

I've owned a black rear routed Modulus VJ for years and it has no PG or control plate but lately I've been sort of bored with the look and so I ordered a PG to spice things up. I'll post pix when I get it. Thanks everyone!
