Just won this on evilBay...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121066581682...84.m1439.l2649

My first five string! A black Esp LTD B-335 w/hard case

Now, I already have an ESP LTD Surveyor 414, but I've been wanting to get a 5 string....so I'll be selling the Surveyor and rocking the B-335 for now

I noticed that it has EMG pickups instead of ESP..I wonder which model they are...? Does anyone have any experience with these basses?

Great deal. $300 for that bass with a case is awesome.

I got a red one from Hello Music for $275, no case. They upped the price to $325 when they started to sell out.

It's pretty sweet, although mine has an odd seam along the side of the neck where the fretboard meets the neck, as though they don't line up perfectly. It's not sharp or inhibiting in any way, but it was one of the first things I noticed when I started playing on the neck.

Otherwise, it's incredibly well made, fast neck, really good active electronics... basically what I've come to expect from ESP/LTD. Very similar in tone to my B-154DX, but it has an extra string on the bottom there.

I'll try to remember to snap some photos later.

Odd they have the same model number.

EMG pricing for OEM is pretty interesting, BTW...but that's a different thread.

I was told they're probably EMG DCs. What do you think of those?
