A singer-songwriter I've played with a bit is on her way over. I'm gonna 'isn't it cuuute' and then hit the open E with my Streamliner 900 at 11:00!

I liked the GK MBX 112 aluminum cab, but the two I tried made the same collateral pathological noises in the first octave of E, F and F sharp. A leading GK guy mailed back, that they are probably not able to produce a cab 'according to my needs'....
So I made a similar homegrown one with an Eminence Basslite S2012 mounted in a sealed enclosure of about 30 liters with heavy lambswool fill. Material is 15 mm birch plywood, total weight about 8 kgs.
Nice tight sound, should be sufficient for small venues.
The bass response of vented cabs in my opinion tends to get unprecise with the fat low end of the UBasses and besides there is no need for tweeters with a piezo PU...

Check it out. Street price is 349 not 399.
That's going to kick some major butt out there at that price point - if all is well with that bass. Looking forward to trying one out at a store.

It also amazes me that Mike Upton, of all people, doesn't pronounce Aquila properly.

Can't think of too many other "common" English words, apart from 'quiche', that have the 'qui' part pronounced like that.

It's a very big deal - at least to people in this thread who actually Enjoy uke basses.
