It has a modded EMG preamp in it that I put a push-pull active-passive bypass for those no-battery days. What a bass!
Can I get a club number?

Has anyone ever ordered their bass with a gig bag instead of a hardshell case? Am I the only one that did that?

At least you have a gig bag for protection. When I bought my KSD Burner 6 (B-stock) from zZounds, they shipped it in a box, only padded with crumpled paper. My fault, of course, I could have purchased a gig bag or case at the time but did not. Being that my order was a B-stock, I can not be sure of the marks which may have been on the instrument prior to its shipment to me. Anyway, it still sounds good so I'm keeping it.

Can anyone describe the difference in tone in a Walnut core, and a Maple core?

I believe a maple core is considerably brighter.
