I got this same bass in white!!! I'd never sell it!!!
Oh yeah & a black Duke too.... It stays untill I get a Steinberger to replace it... lol
Yeah, everytime I play it, I love the tone and the feel. But picking it up it becoming a work out. Maybe I just need to lift weights!

I'd like to join the Kramer club, please send me a number.

Here is my Kramer XL 8 8-String.

The cool thing about it is that it's almost perfect! There are no chips on the body, the chrome aluminum etc.. is all in excellent condition.

I was watching that auction and thinking who was the lucky b*stard who got it. Now I know!
Do these bass guitars sound much hotter than 80s Fender models?
I think these were quite underrated because they weren't active in a era (the 80s) that was about active basses or custom made, leaving these in no-one's earth.

I wish I could tell you how it sounds. I actually took it completely apart to clean it and threw out the strings before I thought about seeing how it sounded. I have some to put on but am waiting until I can get a luthier friend of mine to install a new nut on it before I string it back up. The nut that came on it looks like it is made out of Rosewood or something. I have never seen a wooden nut on an electric bass before. I am going to have a bone nut installed. The body is seriously beat up but the neck is great. Like Fender does, let's call it a Kramer Pioneer relic Anyway, the price was right in my opinion. I like it.

Heres my old trusty Kramer. I'm guessing early 90's maybe. In the pre new strings pic. Plays very nice though, good pups and neck through is a plus. Not a very flattering pic.

Well, thats a Musicyo Model.
Made by Epiphone, and distributed by them.
However, a still good bass nonetheless.
Thanks.

Wish I had a pic, but my '79 lummie DMZ 5000 is my primary bass lately.

It's also lighter than my '81 T-40, by a lot!

I'll bite

Count me in. Dayglow pink / orange Striker 700ST bought new in 1989. Still gets played every Sunday in Church.

Very versatile bass with its active P/J setup. Its never let me down, although it is a bit on the heavy side (I'm not getting any younger)

Are we doing numbers? I make it something like this:

#1 - 2x4strgkramers
#2 - davkane
#3 - jordacr
#4 - jazzbo58
#5 - rrybicki
#6 - TimboZ
#7 - sozo
#8 - Crass!
#9 - gbsmith71

Cheers,

Gavin

The Heavy Striker 700st is due to a plywood body. But, still a good bass none the less.
Thanks.

Wow! Sorry to hear about the neck problems. I've never had any trouble with mine. It's hard to imagine that an aluminum neck could be unstable. Nice Ric!!!

Cheers,
Jim
