see enersha, you could have lied and said "all my basses are bought mint, kept mint, and sold as mint"
but now we know.
here's my cute new couple sitting on the sofa.

KBF and myself are going round and round as to what model kramers they are 700 or 710 because the 720 had beveled tops.

the colorshift pink one will probably get sold off since I found the white one.
I still have a ying/yang pair of Charvels though, but now a days the black one has a maple fretboard and no kahler, and the white one has a HB and a kahler..lol

I finally got to jam on the 700's. T_T_V is pretty weird and the pots must be 250k because the ones only work on the last 1/4 of the controls, but will give some nice tonal options when the switch is in the middle with both p/u's engaged but beyond that, ya sounds like a p/j bass to me

you never had a TTV? well this white one won't be TTV too much longer

soon it will be BTVB and I'll mail you the old harness intact and you can use it in something

and with the typical cost cheapness in assembly, the 250k thing -- the pots must be a250k or "audio/log" and not b250k because they are not linear.

Wouldn't surprise me.... my Forum three lost its original pots years ago, and my Forum Four has 50k ohm pots for its EMGs

I found another discussion on 700/710, looks like the 710's are the spector/schaller version, the 700 is the cheapest and not so common units to find.

i liked this bass so much that i went home and got my ibanez sr506 and traded it in. its a 700ST though. i havent seen them with this shape headstock AND matching the body color. rare from what i think i read earlier in this thread? lol, and i guess previous owner was a lefty because there's a hole in the end of the bottom cutaway like a strap pef used to be there... might just put one in there for the hell of it lol. also came with active EMGs too. sounds awesome.

anyone know what model it is? damn near mint, i'd say 8.5/10

yours is a 700STB with that headstock on it. part of the "Striker" line, my pair are 710's part of the model "100" line.

dumpster was saying his new/old 700STB is clean.. I'm sure it is, many many many people bought new and played it for a couple and shelved them for 20 years, or a unit was new and 6 owners later it STILL was never played enough to show any wear.

Kramer was good at "mom i want a guitar like bon jovi plays" for christmas and sometimes you'd end up with a cheap aerostar, other times mom would get you a baretta or pacer for christmas....

ya right..."mom I want a Fender HM bass for the 80's look" -- no son they are too expensive and I read somewhere that nobody likes them because they do NOT have the traditional 50 year old headstock.

lol, i grew up always seeing kids who couldnt play with kramers and they always sounded bad. so i thought they were just inferior guitars. but then i picked this one up yesterday and loved it lol. i think i just might be a convert. lol. totally gonna look at getting another. well there's one on craigslist here but i dont have the 400 the guy is asking >.<

i had a righthanded forum3 for a long time and sold it last year with hopes I would someday find a lefty.. I did and bought it for less than 250. Sounds the same to me ( as many videos as I made using the righty )

I had a black ZX70 that sounded better than the other 3 ZX70's I had and in all 4 cases less than 150.
I would buy another Kramer plywood, or Kramer MusicYo ( lefty ) unit anytime, provided the price is right naturally !!

someone go buy the black Forum3 Righty on ebay.

I can tell you from owning 2 of them that they may not be for everybody, but they sure worked for me

The price is very reasonable especially with a case. If it is not getting bids a couple days before it ends, I'm gonna try to buy it so I can have a ying/yang pair of F3's like my 710Kramers and Model2 Charvels

Thats as close to a spector as you can get with out spending lots of cash. Even NS-2A's are going for double that

or maybe I can claim it's vintage << YA that sure does drive the prices up on _______ models and get 500 more?
