Lakland 55-01 - chipped body

Just looking for opinions. I found a Lakland 55-01 for a really good price, but it has a chip on the bottom of the body that is about half inch long and about a 16th inch deep. It is a solid chunk, but no cracking around the chip. It plays and sounds great. What could be the long term effect of this? Would you pay $350 for it?

I've seen worst chunks. It'll turn out fine.

This wouldn't turn me off because if you play that bass for a number of years, more dents & scratches will follow no matter how much care you take of it. The first scratch/dent is always the hardest to deal with so someone has already taken care of this for you
