Hanging on the wall they had a Lakland Fretless 5576 made during the old CP era. This bass was a fretless tone monster great condition and said take me home. What I really love is this thing is a hybrid 34" scale and what I understand from research they are rare. Will post pix on arrival. Should be a nice compliment to the 4-94 and sonus |

This one has 34" neck, Bartolini PU/Bart 3 band EQ. Does not have the 3 way coil tapping though I might install that later though |

I took the neck off to check SN and it registers as a 1998 build .
Gave her a good cleanup, restrung with a fresh set of D Nickles/ set the intonation and action. This baby growles more than my Musicman fretless 4 I used to own.
I will try her on the stage tomorrow night at church and see how it is in the mix which is the main key. |

Carl Peddigo is getting me all the info he can come up on this bass as far as build history. I was thinking of before I played it live to add a coil tap switch but Im gonna leave this puppy alone as is, it had a great live tone as is. |

I made the mistake(LOL) of going out there and playing it. They had no idea of model or history to my advantage. It just needed a fresh set of strings and setup. Im glad to give it a good home. As I tell people all good basses need a good home! |
