3 female singers on one stage, oh, the drama that must be. Looks like a fun time for sure.

It was fantastic 8,000 people in the audience, perfectly divided vocal parts and a big party

So I'm thinking ... 2nd user 55-02, swap the J for a P, and add a scratch plate to cover up the routes.

Here's the dilemma .... the only suitable 55-02 I've seen for a while (in the UK) is a deluxe, sunburst + quilt.

Is it a sin to cover up a quilt to with a scratch plate ? And what might work well visually (I can't picture it in my mind). I think tort next to the quilt might be too much, so I'm thinking probably black.

Of course it might be better to wait for another standard-finish 55-02 to turn up. Tort on black or black on black I know will work.

Oh ... thinking R/W neck BTW.

Andy
It's not a sin in any way... I put a tort guard on my 55-02 deluxe... I think it gives it a more "old school" vibe.

Plus it reminds me of a beautiful woman in a bikini... there's something left to the imagination... you KNOW there's something amazing under there, but you just can't take a peek!

I'll post pics when I get some decent ones made in a few days... I'm pretty sure this thread will still be around :-)

Early Lakland Skyline

Hey Guys,

I got hold of a 2001 skyline 55-01 does anybody know if the Gotoh Style tuners are original rather than the clover leaf tuners that are more common nowadays?

Maybe I got one of the first Skylines?

If I recall correctly they did use those tuners for the first year and a half.

Actually, I just checked the big book, and I think it might be a sin...

The Book of Daniel 44:02 addresses divine judgement that comes from defiling the temple, covering glory with soot and ashes and destroying the beauty

"Fear them not, for there shall be nothing covered and hid that shall not be revealed; that shall not be known in its full beauty, for God shall bring every work into the light and into judgment, no figured top shall be a secret thing, whether it be flamed, or whether it be quilted"

I've got a question for you guys:

When I got my 44-60, it came in a Fender branded SKB case. It's a great case, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't form fit around the body well at all.

What case do you use for yours? Hardshell or soft gig bag?

I really like the glove like pocket for the body on those iGig cases.

Seems to be between those and the Mono bags.
