We can make up a "model" (prototype) lamp shade...( pardon the pun ) while knocking back some Newcastle ales...
Staying on topic...This plot will allow me and Markus to add more new US Lakland additions to our line up.
Well?
YOU already have more than enough....so you go on a vacation or something with the earnings and I will invest in more US Laklands
cool? | Works for me!

More like punches through the mix. Halfway through the night, my guitarist looks at me and says "man that bass sounds great!"

I had my final recital on Friday for my Postgraduate Diploma in jazz on the bass. It went really well, and got awesome feedback from friends and family. It has been a long journey

I have always been a rosewood board guy, but I really liked the "snap" I got from the maple on these more than the "mellower" rosewood.
They both obviously sound great, just wanted the brighter maple board. My brother in law came with me to BassCentral to check these out. A week earlier he had ordered a new Jazz deluxe. He cancelled the Jazz and ordered a Black and Maple from BC. It is his main bass now and he has a Streamer Stage II 5 that he bought new years ago. The Lakland put it on the stand.

I have never heard an electric that sounded mmore like an upright than the HB/Bart/La Bella Flats combo. To me it was haunting. Heck I wasn't even using any palm muting, thumb, or playing over/near the neck pick up.

To me, the only thing that has ever sound very much like a real db, and was electric, was an RA Mouse.
ymmv of course.

Keep in mind, I'm a huge snob about my DB tone, and it's something I worked really hard to dial in.
Not any kind of comment on your bass.
I felt the Lak HB was "at it's most acoustic" with LaBella black tapes on it.
Which are standard issue for the RA Mouse, fwiw.
