Which would make Chef's new bass arrive in mid-June. |

| | Does this bass make my butt look big? | | Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: East Tennessee | | | Chef is the man ! Why ? Because he makes me feel less guilty that I blow through basses like most people go through Kleenex.
I joked with him yesterday that it didnt even have time to come up to room temperature before he had it on the board and sold the same day.
Proof that "general consensus" does not guarantee that said bass will be perfect for each and every one of us.
In honor of Chef's surgical and timely personal review, let us stand as a show of respect and give him the rousing GAS battle cry......... NEXT!

But, through the last few years of "Gear Churn," I've really been able to focus in on what works for me, and "helps make me sound like me."
It's gone from "fun" to "man, why do I keep doing this when I know what I like."
I'm sure there will still be some science experiments, but I'm feeling pretty settled at the moment.
I'm transitioning from "that guy who had 35 basses and 18 amps" to a guy who has two amps, and 5-6 basses, several of which I know are redundant, but I like them anyway. Just because.

| That's why I traded that bass off, I prefer the Barts on the 55-xx series. I like the Barts and Lh3 on the 34" stuff, but I could hear a tonal difference between the 34" and 35" scales that I did not care for. It's a sweet bass, but I just preferred the 44-xx's.

I roll basses that I love and are amazing in the name of GAS.
Sometimes wishing I kept what I sold.
And dislike what I bought to replace it.
I think sometimes it is entertainment?
Something to have fun with?
Who knows?
It is like chasing a woman...fun fun fun initially.
Then once ya tie the knot???
LOL
I have narrowed down from 16 killer basses to now 8 after this new 44-94 shows up late in the week.
50% cut in excessive fat? Not bad.
Do not have the problem with rigs....I have settled all Rig Gas by buying Mesa...VERY pleased with my sound now. Quote:
