Don't say anything about throwing caution to the wind right now. Just recovered from a 24 hour coastal storm with 60mph winds and 80-90mph gusts. First time for me in hurricane force winds, not something I want to repeat anytime soon. Power went out all day - just came back on not too long ago and what do I do? Sign in to the LOG and TB
Guess I really shouldn't complain though, folks back East had/have it much worse than I did. Thankful for small blessings and Laklands that you can play without power. | yikes!!! Sorry to hear that Brian...kinda wierd to have storms like that where you are huh??? Quote:

Looks amazing! WOW!
Sure Greg and Doude can shed some light on the subject | that was a proto built many years ago....lipstick and Bart pickups....they were trying out a few different pickup combos to see what worked best....that top is wild!!!
I have seen it in person but not played it...maybe I am OCD but having 2 such VERY different pickups and the controls they way they are turn me off from that bass....
it comes up for sale periodically... Quote:

Looks like it has a scheff single lipstick in the bridge...and a hanson 44-94 MM style bucker mid ship...
yes? Or a bart? too small to tell in pic?
Controls are a bit off kilter ??? wonder what they do? | I think it is simple volume and tone...and a swicth for the pickup selection Quote:

the neck was rare very old rain forest rosewood...(cultivated from a downed tree so no trees were killed to make the bass...the wood was certified legal) Quote:

Kinda bet is will not be my last
I have had my eye on this beauty for over a year now.
I LOVELOVELOVE me some Buckeye Burl!
And had been drooling over the pics monthly on BC.
I finally decided enough was enough!
So to preserve my sanity and mental state I listed and sold two of my basses and added a bit O cash.
The result will most likely end up being my favorite bass of all time I am guessing.
Hope these 44-94's are all they are cracked up to be

I'm sure there will still be some science experiments, but I'm feeling pretty settled at the moment.
I'm transitioning from "that guy who had 35 basses and 18 amps" to a guy who has two amps, and 5-6 basses, several of which I know are redundant, but I like them anyway. Just because. | I know what you mean.....for me, I used to REALLY like going to Sam Ash and GC just to play some basses and have fun but I learned that whenever I went there I was just dissapointed because I had MUCH better basses at home....
I try to stay away from redundancy BUT I make a few exceptions....
