Well he was a little more colorful than that, but keeping it SFW. So he installed some glow-in-the-dark side dots. |

On the departures from black: - Illuminated/glow-in-the-dark side dots: I would have done that.
- Makers logo: I would have pressed for a contrast of gloss black/matt black
- Pickups: I would have gone for no pole pieces.
Awesome result anyway. I am jealous.

Actually, I need to do a little work tonight on the Scheff, blend pot went belly up. Everything was fine putting it back together, tested it and then a day later or so and no neck pickup response. Connections were all good and a quick check with a multimeter confirmed it was dead Jim. So it's going under the hot iron. |

The logo was discussed as you said, but the decision in the end was to go for a higher contrast look. I don't sacrifice tone for looks and hence why it's named the Abyss - the poles stare back at you from the darkness.

The silver dot is actually an LED that comes with the P-Retro to let you know when that battery is low or charged.

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: Minneapolis, MN | | she's already off to Lakland! It hasn't reached Pat yet, but hopefully within a week.
I considered keeping black...but there will always be a million black basses. And the finish was beat up quite a bit from being on the road, nothing to the wood (that I found) so I thought a refin was in order.
And if a refin was in order...why not do it up right?! SHELL PINK IT IS! http://www.sadowsky.com/stock/view/5258.html
here's a link that Pat gave me, of his shell pink. Looks phenomenal. I can't wait to get the bass back! Unfortunately...We're looking at about 5 weeks Quote:
