It was a toss up...
Try something new?
Like the DR Sunbeams or Fatbeams?
Or go with what I already like...the DR nickle Low Riders.
Since the price was so cheap, I dove into something new.
Time will tell how long they stay on the bass...hahaha Quote:

Not sure what they're going to be like on a Lakland, but then again, I like Cobalts on my Lakland P-bass, so what do I know? really? |

The stacked knob setup gives a jazz bass a totally different level of control. I can't find anything bad about this bass. The only thing that needed adjusting was the truss and it took a slight tweak. The intonation was perfect out of the box. It complimented my Duck Dunn and 44-02's so well. I think I finally have all of my tonal ranges covered. I'm totally satisfied.

Been wanting to try these out....
They were cheap! Only $22.00 shipped on ebay... from a place I buy from. Nice price!
Has anyone used these before? They sound interesting from the description DR hands out. | I am using these on my DJ4 at the moment. Lots of "steel string grind" punch and very easy to make em' bark. I like them. Very modern sounding.
A lot like Marcus Miller sounds actually... ahem...

I am waiting for someone.....anyone in this group to develop a bad gambling, drug, women, alcohol problem and be forced to fire sale something wonderous at a price that I can afford.. Pick a vice, any vice, other than collecting Laklands.
MarkusBass, that sir, is taunting !
Mrs Zoomie is out of town. Rehearsal cancelled last night as one of the guys is sicker than a dog. Decided to wag my butt solo with the pooch. Didn't want to fire up the B-15N and the only cab I had at the house was this little 210.
I just can't cough up my fur ball on the tort. It has to go. | Thanks dude! Quote:

Thanks.......
Most of my basses have Nickles on them, so this might be a nice change of pace on the 44-94.
I like punch and bark in a bass...lol

I'd LOVE a Lakland in 17.5mm spacing

I don't recall them ever being listed as 44-07 or 55-07 with their separate page on the Lakland site, though I may be mistaking with that detail.

I've tried a Stringray 5. I have big hands, I think I'd have to shave down my fingers for that one.
