Glad to see the LOG is still alive! (BTW, I humbly own a fretless 44-01, thinking a US 44-64 is my next axe, but would love to customize it slightly)
I'm curious about this also.

Not sure what model, maybe a 55-01, tricked out with Nordstrand Fat Stacks and a Mike Pope Flex Core pre. Just toying around with the idea at this time.

Jeepers, Gary, that's like telling a guy that the pin-up model he admires is 90% Photoshop!

The Lakland site does list the top wood a flame maple, FWIW.

44-01 spalted

44-01 Spalted for $788?,
I wish they were that 'affordable' in Indonesia, the country that crafted that beauty..hehe, I had Nordstrand Big Single lying around..., may be it's time to hunt down Spalted 44-01..

I have had my 55-02 for 4 months now and this bass is just incredible. It still amazes me to play it and the variety of tones just blows me away. It's the last 5 string I'll own (unless I luck into a 55-94!), just can't see needing anything else!

I just bought a regular natural 44-01 from them for 788 - the spalted is more, not sure exactly how much.

Contact your dealer...if you run into any snags, call Lakland. Should be easy.

+1. There are a bunch of options laid out for US models on Lakland's site, and a number of other things they may do as well. Just ask--worst they can do is say no.

Send a PM to Basspraiser and he'll get you a club number. I like the tort guard with green body look of your bass. Classy! Don't you love the neck on the Duck Dunn? I know I really enjoy playing mine.
