My current stable is already way beyond my abilities in my opinion...

2011 Fender American 60th Anniversary Precision

1972 Fender Telecaster bass

2010 Fender American Standard Jazz bass

1988-89 Fender MIJ Precision

1994 Peavey Fury

2005 Schecter C-4 XXX

Fender Bassman 400 amp head powering a Fender Bassman 115 cabinet.

I'd like to add a Musicman Stingray and a Rickenbacker 4003 down the road as well as some type of tube amp.

Everyone else is including amps, so why not?

Current Rig
Crate BFX combo (15" driver), Digitech BP-90 pedal with 2x15 cabinet voicing preset.

Dreamin' Big!
Laney Nexxus Tube head, 2- 4x10 cabs
- My rig for good ol' P-bass "grind" and the exquisite power of KT-88's!

Trace Elliot AH-1200 head and 1084H cab
- My rig for the 5-string. Lots of control. Just enough grind.

I have a pile of Warmoth parts that will eventually become a fretted and fretless 5s...
All the basses I currently have are great...
I have a Mesa 400+ which I wouldn't dream of playing with anything else...

I'm about to have a Schroeder 2x12 which is also supposed to be useful in remote castration of bulls. Just a rumor, but very light and powerful.

I guess my stable is pretty fine! Now all I need is the "dream team" of short, curvy female techs and roadies to tweak and move the stuff.

No blondes please!

Current gig basses:

Musicman Bongo HH 6 string
Musicman Stingray 5 string
Musicman Stingray 5 fretless
Spector LX5
Blade Jazz bass 4 string

As you can see my list is lacking the essential P bass. I could list about 20 or so basses that I would like to own but if I had to pick some essentials that are missing from my list I would add.

Dream Stable:
All of the above plus-

Lakland 5564 (dream) Skyline 5564 (reallity) maple FB
Fender custom shop P bass Alder body/Rosewood FB
Sandberg California TM 5

I just speced my dream build with Kevin Brubaker. I slap so this is going to by my knife that cuts anything in it's way. KXB-5 Custom (Single Cut)

Ash Body
Ash Neck
Spalted Maple top with matching headstock (satin finish)
birdseye maple board (coated)
Bart quad coils with NTMB pre and coil splitter
Hipshot HW

I've heard the ash body, ash neck and Bart combo before and man let me tell ya.

1997 Modulus Flea w/Lane poor and Bart (silver or blue flake)
Sunburst Modulus Funk Unlimited w/ OBP-1
Fretless Fender Jazz bass
Musicman Stingray Classic 4 (Powder Blue with tort PG)
Ibanez sr700 (played a couple of times, pretty impressive for an ibanez)
Vintage Fender Jazz Bass (1960-1972, or Fullerton RI)
Martin Acoustic Bass

Essentially, my dream line up of basses is to have "one of each"...an acoustic, a stingray, a 4HH, an old Fender Jazz, a fretless, a modulus, etc... I also though hard about what my ideal type of each bass would be (something about the powder blue and tort on a stingray with a birds eye maple neck looks awesome to me)

Of course, if I had all the money in the world I'd expand my pallet and try out/add 1 lakland, 1 ritter, 1 rickenbacker, 1 hofner, etc and every bass out there.

Man, I just saw this. Talk about taking a long time to reply. My apologies. I bought these just as they came along. I've since found the Curbow Petite 4 (Same model as Ross Valory's from Journey). That bass absolutely kills!

I have owned 70+ basses over the last 6 years alone and I am now completely covered tone wise for anything. Took me 6 years of buying and selling.

I could dream about having 15 $10k Foderas, but that is unrealistic. I am only missing a good fretless.

Current Stable:

2013 Fodera Emperor Standard 5er
2009 MTD 535
1974 P
1973 Jazz
2012 American Jazz Deluxe 5er (be here next week)

I have 2 Modulus Quantums but I am going to sell those.

I am now covered for modern, vintage, metal, country, blues... You name it.

Current Lineup:

1989 Squier II P w/ BAB II and upgraded pups, to be honest, I cant remember what they are

2001 Squier Affinity P

Danelectro 63' longscale bass

NOTE: the danelectro is not from 1963, thats the name of the model, it's a reissue of a guitar in bass form. Dont want to cause any confusion.

Dream setup:

1989 Squier II P w/ BAB II and upgraded pups, to be honest, I cant remember what they are

Hagstrom/Goya Model 80/90 in red sparkle

Hofner Redburst Contemporary with pearl pickguard and black strings(the one that got away)

probably some more, but I cant think of them now.
