The Low End... Have you heard?

Have you guys seen/heard this...
Brian at the Low End, super nice guy that he is has gotten the short end of the stick (so far) in a very expensive bass deal.
definitely take a peek.
http://www.thelowend.net/gallery/viewtopic.php?t=6066

Why am I posting this, because it pisses me off, Ive dealt with the Low End for many years and have always had perfect, honest service from Brian, it bothers me someone is trying to pull this nonsense... with this thread, Im hoping to send some positive vibes.

this is the latest update from the Low End.
"2/05
After talking with Chase today..... as you might guess, I am not the only one he is pulling this with. He has another dispute with another store.... he is a Fraud, be aware.

Chase is going to allow him to commit fraud and credit him back to $4039 plus still retain the instrument. So I am ready for legal action again Robert K Letherer. If someone knows how to handle this I am all ears. I know many of you have been willing to help and I didn't want to go down this path... but I have no choice now. "

Thanks for reading
- Tom

I've been following this too. It's a bummer. Brian has always been a straight-up guy to deal with. I wish I could do something to help.

That's absurd. Has Brian spoken with Chase? I think he should file a police report, and maybe get an angry mob together.

Hopefully Brian can get this straightened out. Not a cool situation. Brian helped me out a few years ago to move one of my own instruments(a Benavente) and he is a class act. One of the best in the business IMO.

Anybody know the buyer's side of the story? Just curious.

So what's the guy's deal? Return the money or return the bass.

Who cares! Return the money, or return the bass. You DON'T keep both.

There's no side of this story that makes it okay for him to keep both the $4K and the bass; I suspect the buyer's side of the story isn't a particularly flattering one for himself.

I bought my Dingwall SJ5 from Brian, really great guy to deal with.

Hope this gets sorted out in his favour.

Probably. Which is one of the reasons I'd like to hear it. What's his justification, real or imagined? Wouldn't you like to know?

His justification is that the poor laws & systems put in place by the government & these companies allows him to do it, therefore he shall.

I've got a feeling there's more to it than that, but I'm prepared to be wrong.
