| | | | Ahhh....Mahogany! My favorite core wood.
My main bass is a Wilkins Chambered Mahogany with a Maple Top. I have two more like it on the way, one is a Sunburst fretless and the other a fretted light colored one with block inlays.....Stay tuned!
George

the one the left is an '77 jap ibanez 2369B which i picked up recently off ebay. its has a 3 piece mahogany body with bolt on maple neck. this guitar was originally white but a previous owner has sanded it back to wood. i'll probably sand it back a bit more give it coat of grain filler then laquer etc, more than anything just to protect it. ive ordered a badass bridge for it to make it a bit better.
on the right is my battered '68 usa gibson EB-O. still plays true. 1 piece mahogany body, mahogany neck rosewood fretboard. 30.5 inch scale length solid construction. i brought it 10 years ago i like it a lot its unique for a bass but it limited as to what it can do, hence the recent ibanez purchase is sorta the crisp option. EBO has only 1 extremely high gain pick up butted next to the neck to it tends to make any small amp fart a bit. i have a large amp but. i use an australian built valve amp called 'woogie' highly recommended if you find one. |

I can't stop playing it! It's chambered, which kept the weight down (8.4 lbs)...
