| | | | Merry Xmas to me! I started teaching myself bass about a year and a half ago. I picked up an old Yamaha RBX 200 to see if I'd like it. Fell in love, refinished the body and threw on Seymour Duncan SBP-3's. That's what I've been plucking away at since. I had mentioned it was getting time to maybe upgrade. This morning for Xmas the was a shiny new Ibanez SR1200e Premium. holy crap is that thing awesome! Being new to the bass scene, was wondering what you guys think of that particular bass |

I've never played one, but the pictures on the Ibanez website sure do look gorgeous. Merry Christmas to you, indeed! |

Seriously,These are amazing basses and not cheap.
I had the 5er version and the quality was up there with my USA MTD, Spector and Modulus basses. Thin neck, great Nordy PU, beautiful woods, very light, top notch Hardware....
Pro level bass and they sound killer!
Enjoy it!

| | | | well I've been playing with it for about the last 5 hours. actually contemplated feeding my kids kraft dinner for Xmas dinner so I didn't have to stop to cook a turkey lol. Probably the nicest instrument I've had the pleasure to play. I have seen some folks bash Ibanez on here before, so I was just wondering if it's actually as sweet as I think it is. apparently it is. |

I don't have an Ibanez bass, but I do have an Ibanez guitar, and I like it very much. |
