Mine is amazing. Tone that would make a 'Ray shake in its shoes, and it only weighs 6.5 pounds.

Yea, I have several (real) Fenders... and this is one of my favorites... as I mentioned in earlier post- I added a Fender '62 p/u, CTS pots and D'Addario Chromes (.045-.100)... perfect combination! The bridge cover sounds good- as well

Heres a pic of 'the crew"!

Me too! I'd have it painted, too. There's none around here to try out. I was also wondering how they play. To be more specific, how does the neck dimensions compare to a normal Fender P?

neck...

-well, according to Fender, the Squier Dirnt is 'thick C'- 1.6" width

http://www.fender.com/products/squie...precision-bass

-and the Amer. Std. (if thats what you mean by 'normal') is 'modern C'- 1.625 width

http://www.fender.com/products/ameri...precision-bass

... so the Dirnt is thinner and narrower than the Amer. Std... both are 'satin' finish

- as many will say... its a matter of taste and preference... if you can't try one- as I said in an earlier post... I would say it is between a P neck and a J neck... but a bit 'flatter' than both... which is comfortable for my hands...

Thanks, staurosjohn. Appreciate the info. Doesn't seem like it's so radically different that I couldn't get used to it in one gig.

The neck on mine is not at all "thick." It has a pretty wide nut though...

I've owned 3 Squier Dirnt Sigs and they all had the same thin C neck profile. I think the Fender website description of the Squier Dirnt neck profile is a typo.

I owned a MIM Dirnt Sig and it definitely had a "thick C" profile to go with the hefty ash body.

I keep thinking about buying another Squier Dirnt... very light and fun to play
